03 / FACTORY AUDIT
Factory audit in China
A factory audit determines whether a manufacturer actually has the people, equipment, procedures and capacity needed for the project. It is particularly valuable for new suppliers, technical products and orders requiring a significant deposit.
When is an audit justified?
Documents and video calls do not reveal actual production load, quality organisation or whether critical processes are performed in-house. An on-site visit compares supplier claims with the conditions observed at the facility.
Typical audit scope
- site and manufacturing profile confirmation
- machinery, staffing and production organisation
- material flow and batch traceability
- incoming, in-process and final inspection
- calibration and quality records
- photos, findings, non-conformities and action plan
Audit process
- 01
Plan
We agree the product, criteria, scope and records required from the factory.
- 02
Visit
The auditor checks the facility, resources, processes and records on site.
- 03
Assessment
Findings are classified against the risks of the specific project.
- 04
Report
You receive photographs, conclusions and recommended corrective actions.
A fact-based decision
The report presents strengths, non-conformities and areas that should be secured before production begins. The checklist is adapted to the product because a simple component and a complete industrial machine present different risks.
